Glowing skin is something that most women try to achieve, but getting there can be a bit of a process. For students enrolled in the health law degrees programs there is a serious lack of time, little sleep, and a whole lot of work packed into their day. The idea of “glowing skin” hardly seems attainable. Here’s the good news: you can achieve that beautiful glow with a just a few steps, which means it doesn’t have to cut into your study time for healthcare law degrees.
Steer Clear of Hot Water
During the winter months it’s only natural you enjoy a nice steamy shower and washing your face with hot water, but did you know that by doing this you are actually stripping the moisture from your skin? It’s not just that – it also strips away oil that is needed to create that glow.
Instead, opt for warm water for showers and cold water when washing your face. It will do just as good a job of cleaning your face, plus your skin won’t feel and look dry after the fact.
Add Moisture to the Air
Winter air is very drying so it can be hard to keep your skin moisturized. One tip that beauty experts recommend is to run a cool mist humidifier in your room as you sleep. You can set it to low, which won’t add noise or make the air too moist; it will be just enough to keep your skin looking and feeling great. If you find your house particularly dry you may want to invest in a small portable humidifier that you can move from room to room during the day. There are even small units that you can set on your desk while you work on your studies.
Exfoliate on a Regular Basis
One way to get that instant glow is to exfoliate your skin. This takes away all the dead, dry, and flaky skin sitting on the surface and causing that dull complexion. Look for a product that isn’t too abrasive and rough, as you don’t want to damage your skin. While every person is different it’s typical to exfoliate one to three times a week. Exfoliating on a regular basis will also help to encourage better skin cell turnover.
Use the Right Moisturizer
Just because your moisturizer works great in the summer months doesn’t mean it will be right for you in the winter. Most people find that they need to switch things up in winter and go for a heavier cream. It’s all about listening to your skin and giving it what it needs. If you don’t already use a separate night moisturizer, cream, or oil, winter is the perfect time to start.
Healthy, Beautiful, Glowing Skin Can Be Yours
By taking a few steps on a daily and weekly basis you’ll be doing what’s necessary to achieve healthy, beautiful, and glowing skin that is sure to be the envy of all, even in the dead of winter.
